Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library and Museum, two blocks from Frederick House, is a popular destination for our visitors. There is a guided tour of President Wilson's Birthplace and President Wilson's 1919 Pierce-Arrow limousine is available for viewing. The museum of the history of President Wilson's life includes exhibits about WW I and The League of Nations.
While staying in Staunton, you have the opportunity to visit three other Presidential homes in the Charlottesville area; Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and James Madison. Ask at Frederick House reception for suggestions about how to visit these historic homes to learn about past Presidents of The United States.
Frontier Culture Museum, in Staunton, is highly recommended by those who have seen the displays and witnessed the demonstrations of how different cultures came together to build The United States. Working farms from England, Ireland, Germany, West Africa, and the United States are on display and demonstrated by onsite interpreters of the various cultures. History and Art Center is on South New Street, two blocks from Frederick House. See displays of Staunton history and art from around Virginia. There is an onsite gift store featuring unique handmade crafts by talented Virginia artists.
Co-Art Gallery is on Beverley Street, two blocks from Frederick House. Over forty artists support this gallery with frequently changing displays and many selections for sale at affordable prices.
