Take time to enjoy both the Historic Downtown Staunton District and the beauty of the outdoors in the George Washington National Forest and the Shenandoah Valley with a Trail Riding Package at the Frederick House. Your guided trail ride will take you on a unique wilderness adventure through the George Washington National Forest. View beautiful ridges, streams, valleys, and abundant wildlife from atop your horse, while knowledgeable guides share the lore and history of the area. Once the trail ride is complete, you will be able to enjoy Historic Downtown Staunton where you can explore over 60 shops, glass blowing studio, galleries, museums, theater and wonderful dining choices. Experience is not necessary, but having a positive attitude, a love for animals, average physical fitness, and the ability to simply relax, will make your ride rewarding and unforgettable. Once your package is booked with the Frederick House, guests will receive a phone call from the staff of North Mountain Outfitters for a briefing prior to arrival. Prices start at $240 for a John McLear Room, $260 for the J M Ayers Room, $280 for the Page Womack Room, $300 for the Thomas Bower Room, and $310 for the Emily Baxter Suite.
