Attention music lovers, summer has arrived in Staunton! That means remarkable music to choose from nearly every night of the week. Here are some of the scheduled events to choose from!

Heifetz Institute’s 2015 Festival of Concerts

The 2015 Heifetz Summer Institute runs from June 26 – August 7th. This season’s Festival of Concerts will include 40 performances during that period, concluding with a Grand Finale and Farewell Feast on August 7th. Catch one of six concerts per week, an informal Heifetz Hootenanny in local venues on Saturday nights or a 2 p.m. “Heifetz Sunday Matinee.” The popular Friday night faculty concerts have added a Celebrity Series Happy Hour featuring cheese and wines from regional vintners and vendors. Music Under the Stars at Gypsy Hill Park

Staunton Recreation and Parks sponsors FREE concerts in Gypsy Hill Park throughout the summer season featuring the Stonewall Brigade Band (Mondays, 8pm), gospel (Tuesdays, 7pm) , bluegrass (Wednesdays, 7pm) and jazz (Thursdays,7pm). Click the links for scheduled performers!

Classical Takeover—Staunton Music Festival August 14-23

Visit Staunton in August and you’ll be rubbing elbows with some of the world’s finest chamber musicians. Each year the Staunton Music Festival – now in its 18th year – attracts a gathering of musicians that entertain, enrich, and engage audiences with a dynamic and innovative selection of chamber music. The festival features multiple concerts each day, with programs that are consistently remarkable – spanning music from the Renaissance to the present.
